The Escape of a Gardener’s Son (2024)
For this work, I create a living scenery composed of artworks, personal objects, and tools from the greenhouse of my parental home.
A small group of people is invited to join me for one hour in an unprepared, participatory performance.
I guide them through meditation; I wash their feet and/or hands; I dance for them, lead them through the exhibition, and read excerpts from letters written to lovers and family — words born from the process of unravelling the generational wounds I carry. This performance is a celebration of my successfull liberation from a short-sighted culture and Self.
Each iteration of the performance takes on a new name.
It is the sacred Now that decides what unfolds, what is told, what is shared... It is my intention to take people along and touch on sensitive matters.
Some other possible names:
🌹 The Invisible Transformation of a Gardener’s Son
✨ Closer to Existence
🌾 The Architecture of a Multidimensional Journey Within
💧 An Exercise in Showing My True Self
While meditating, praying, singing, cleansing, dancing, traveling in trance, planting, crying, shouting, vibrating, visualizing and creating,
we cross the gates of my past, roll along the roads of transformation, and storm the New New Age together —
horse and cart shrouded in the misty forest of inspiration.
